Recognized as one of the most innovative and influential electric guitarists, the collection spans his early work with The Tridents to his acclaimed Guitar Shop album from 1989. Volume 1 features rare, previously unreleased recordings from The Tridents, raw mono versions of Yardbirds classics like "Steeled Blues" and "Heart Full of Soul," a Yardbirds BBC session, and Jeff Beck’s first solo single releases. Volume 2 highlights both iterations of The Jeff Beck Group, each responsible for two albums, and concludes with tracks from Beck, Bogert & Appice. Standout moments include a fresh take on the Yardbirds' "Shapes of Things" with Rod Stewart’s vocals, the powerful "Plynth," the intricate guitar work on "Definitely Maybe," and a reinvention of Stevie Wonder’s "Superstition." Volume 3 showcases Beck’s "instrumental era" of the 1970s, featuring selections from his jazz-infused Blow by Blow and the George Martin-produced Wired.
