1950s Arne Jacobsen 3-Legged Teak Ant Chair (Model 3100)

For sale is a rare, early production 1-first generation "Ant" chair designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Features the highly sought-after 3-legged configuration and a gorgeous, rich molded teak plywood shell. Authenticity: Stamped with the early "FH DANMARK" mark on the underside metal plate (see photos). Condition: Excellent vintage structural condition. The plywood shell is incredibly sturdy and firm at the waist with no structural splits or flex issues. The original teak veneer shows beautiful grain patterns with only minor vintage wear/light surface marks consistent with age. Metal legs are structurally sound. Dimensions: Standard Model 3100 dining chair dimensions. A true mid-century modern design icon. Perfect for collectors or as a statement accent piece.
