1970s Imports Japan Chrome Serving Tray Rose Border Sunburst
$24
A beautiful example of 1970s Japanese metalware, this rectangular serving tray features a striking machine-etched sunburst (engine-turned) center designed to minimize the appearance of surface scratches. The raised relief border is decorated with a detailed rose and leaf pattern, accented by ornate integrated handles.
This tray is "Silver on Steel" (Chrome plated), making it highly durable and tarnish-resistant compared to traditional silver plate. It is a perfect size for a coffee table, home bar, or as a decorative vanity tray for perfumes.
Manufacturer: Holiday Imports (Japan)
Era: 1970s
Pattern: Sunburst center / Embossed Rose border
Material: Chrome-plated Steel (Stainless)
Dimensions: 13.5" L x 7.75" W x 0.5" H
Condition
Good Vintage Condition. The tray maintains a very bright, mirror-like reflective finish. Under close inspection, there are light surface cleaning scratches and a few very small "pitting" spots (tiny dark oxidation pinpricks) consistent with age, primarily near the handle joins and in the basin. No dents, no heavy plating loss, and the tray sits perfectly flat.
