$45 Antique Vintage Tool – Heavy Rawhide Maul Mallet – Metalworking / Leatherworking – 3" Head heavy Great old barn-find rawhide mallet in original condition with wonderful age and patina. Lovely heft and patina and nice to touch or use or display Heavy compressed/rolled rawhide head with a short sturdy wooden handle. Likely used for metalworking, sheet-metal forming, leatherworking, saddlery or other traditional workshop work where a substantial blow was needed without marring the work surface. Approximate size: - Rawhide head: about 3" diameter - Overall length: about 8" Original untouched condition with lots of character. Displays beautifully as an antique workshop tool and could also still be used.
