Annihilation (New Blu-ray/DVD)

Brand new, sealed. Annihilation (2018) on 2-disc Blu-ray and DVD combo pack from Paramount Home Media Distribution, written and directed by visionary filmmaker Alex Garland (Ex Machina) and starring Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, and Tessa Thompson. Based on the best-selling Southern Reach trilogy novel by Jeff VanderMeer, the film follows cellular biologist and former soldier Lena as she joins an all-female scientific expedition into "The Shimmer"—a mysterious, expanding anomaly quarantine zone along the American coastline where previous military teams disappeared. Venturing deeper into the quarantined wilderness, the team uncovers a mesmerizing, mutated ecosystem of bizarre hybrid flora and fauna that warps the laws of nature, threatening both their survival and their sanity.
