KROSNO MAKORA HAND BLOWN 12" COBALT BLUE GLASS FLOWER VASE
$80
‘The town of Krosno in southeastern Poland has centuries-old traditions of glassmaking, becoming a major global hub for artistic glassware production during the 20th century. State-owned enterprises and independent studios alike cultivated skilled artisans who mastered free-blowing and mold-blowing techniques, exporting vibrant decorative wares worldwide.
The Makora studio in particular became known for producing high-quality colored art glass that combined traditional craftsmanship with striking mid-century and postmodern silhouettes. The deep cobalt blue colour seen in this piece was achieved by adding cobalt oxide to the molten glass batch, a classic method treasured for its rich and luminous saturation.’
In excellent vintage condition.
Would look beautiful in any room on its own or with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
