Vintage Reed & Barton gold plated flatware

During the mid-20th century, prominent American silver companies like Reed & Barton utilized overseas manufacturing to produce accessible tableware. Under their Rebacraft brand, they imported meticulously crafted gold-plated stainless steel flatware manufactured in Japan. These sets combined durable stainless steel cores with lavish gold electroplating and ornate baroque handles. Housed in custom wooden chests with vibrant velvet linings, they became popular dining staples for households seeking luxury. 8 soup spoons, 8 tea spoons, 8 dessert spoons, 8 dinner knives, 4 large serving spoons, 8 dinner forks, 1 serving fork, 1 soup ladle. No salad forks present in the set. The cutlery is in excellent vintage condition but could do with a polish. The box is sturdy but shows some ware. This unique gold plated flatware is very classy and would look beautiful at a holiday or celebratory dinner. Pick-up is lower Capilano rd, North Van or Hastings Sunrise, Vancouver. *cash only*
