It's pretty much new, with zero issues, tear, or wear. It's personally not for me. But it's perfect for anyone who has been meaning to learn the ukelele but prefers a guitar-like sound. It's also perfect for anyone who's been wanting to play the guitar but is looking for something more user-friendly and more intuitive to play than a guitar. The strings are tuned to D-G-B-E, which is the same as the last four strings of the guitar. I will be honest and say that the tuner is not great. I am not sure it works properly, but again, it came along with the kit.
