Large, square Ming style table with permanently-attached legs terminating in horseshoe feet. The style dates back to the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D. 220). Completely hand-crafted from solid dark cherry wood, with finely-carved decorative engravings on all four sides, and stained with a dark, rich finish. The construction is solid and created as a single unit, no assembly required. Originally purchased for more than $2000 in the 1990s and placed in the waiting room of the executive suite of an office building, where it stayed littered with reading material for 25 years. It’s still in remarkably good condition considering its age.
