Original signed watercolour by artist Willemina Magdalena (Mieke) Blary.
Entitled: "Le Vieux Fribourg, Switzerland".
Mieke was part of the local Calgary art scene from the 1970's until the early 2000's.
She was known for her watercolours and oil landscapes.
She moved to Chile in 2002, and unfortunately passed away in 2004, at the age of 56.
The watercolour and modern silver frame are both in beautiful condition.
The painting retains Mieke's original artist's label on the back, and is dated April 28/1990.
It' s quite small, measuring 11 1/4 x 14 1/4 inches (including frame).
Visible image measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/2.
Despite it's size, the execution and subtle details are exceptional.
Nothing needs to be done to this painting. It's ready to be hung and appreciated.
