Vintage Hand-Painted Denim Pop Art – Custom Framed Mixed Media Statement Piece
Up for auction is a striking, one-of-a-kind mixed-media art piece featuring a pair of custom hand-painted denim shorts. This exceptional artwork perfectly bridges the gap between vintage avant-garde fashion and bold pop art illustration.
The piece utilizes a vibrant blue denim canvas meticulously accented with an array of geometric blocks, clean lines, and abstract shapes. A prominent diagonal white stripe slashes across the center, flanked by a vivid yellow triangle and square, alongside contrasting horizontal bands of red, pink, and deep green. The raw, frayed hemlines add an edgy, tactile streetwear texture to the otherwise structured composition.
Framing & Provenance
The artwork is presented in a substantial, professional custom frame measuring 23.45" × 28".
The reverse side features a vintage gallery/framing label from Posterity, a well-known historical custom picture framing studio formerly located at 508 Eglinton Ave. W. in Midtown Toronto. It comes fully equipped with a heavy-duty wire hanging assembly, ready to mount immediately as a central statement piece in your home, gallery, or studio.
