Vintage Bohemian Amber Cut-to-Clear Crystal Vase, Floral Etched Panels & Starburst Base, c.1930–1950, Possibly Julia Glassworks (Poland/Czech) This stunning 9-inch amber cut-to-clear crystal vase features intricate floral etching, fine diamond cutting, and a brilliant starburst base. The craftsmanship and design are characteristic of mid-century Bohemian or Polish crystal, with strong similarities to Julia Glassworks pieces. The vase has a rich amber overlay cut back to clear crystal, creating beautiful contrast and depth in the floral panels. The lead crystal composition gives it both weight and the signature “ring” when gently tapped. This vase belonged to my grandmother, who emigrated from Poland in 1949, making it a likely pre-war or early post-war piece. Excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are two very small natural glass inclusions (one tiny yellow seed near the base, one black speck in a flower petal) and a few faint surface scratches on the base and one panel. These are typical for hand-crafted vintage crystal and confirm its authenticity. Measurements: • Height: 9 in (23 cm) • Diameter at rim: 6 in (15.2 cm) • Diameter at base: 3 1/8 in (8 cm) • Weight: approx. 3+ lbs A rare find for collectors of Bohemian, Polish, or Czech crystal, equally beautiful as a display piece or in use with flowers.
