Pair of Vintage French Provincial Barrel Chairs

Pair of 1970s Hollywood Regency / French Provincial Barrel Chairs for sale As-Is. Beautiful and solid pair with the original honey oak finish and original needlepoint tapestry seats. Lovely curved cane backs and cabriole legs. I started a gentle clean to show the original finish - you can see in photos the lighter honey color is the OG lacquer under decades of old wax. Majority of the wood is still in as-found condition with vintage patina. Needlepoint seats are in great vintage condition - no rips or stains. Condition - As-Is / Project - Please read: • Wood frames are solid, no wobble, joints tight • Original finish is intact and still shiny - not stripped to bare wood - just needs a final clean/wax if you want them perfect. • Cane: One chair has damage to the cane back - see close-up photos. The cane is still tight on both chairs but left chair has broken strands. These are sheet cane with spline, so they can be re-caned or sold as-is with character. This is a great pair for someone who loves vintage and doesn't mind a little project. Too much for me to finish due to mobility limitations, so passing them on. Measures approximately 27"W x 26"D x 30"H - Seat height ∼17". Pickup Bishop and Concession in Preston Cambridge area. Price for the pair as-is. If cane was perfect you'd be able to resell for approximately $550 - 650.
