Vintage Keystone Criterion Model A-9 16mm Movie Camera 1949
$90
Up for sale is a classic Keystone Criterion Model A-9 16mm spring-wound movie camera, made by Keystone Manufacturing Co. in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, around 1949. This is the single-lens Criterion model that takes 100-foot reels of 16mm film. It features seven governor-controlled speeds, single-frame capability, a built-in Kodachrome exposure guide on the door, and the original brown leatherette covering with chrome accents. Features: • Spring-wound motor (no batteries required) • Seven speeds + single-frame • Original 1-inch lens • Optical viewfinder • Built-in exposure guide for Kodachrome Daylight Type film • Compact, durable metal body with brown leatherette covering • Made in U.S.A. Condition: This camera is in good overall vintage condition. The brown leatherette shows expected age wear, scuffing, and some discoloration. Metal parts have light tarnish and surface marks consistent with a 75-year-old camera. The lens is present and the film compartment is clean with original-style spools visible. The mechanism appears complete and intact. The camera has not been tested with film, so it is sold as-is with no guarantees on full mechanical function (standard for these vintage 16mm cameras). Great for display, prop use, or a film hobbyist. A solid, complete example of these popular mid-century American 16mm home movie cameras. Ready for a new home with collectors of vintage cine gear. Please review all photos carefully — they show the exact camera you will receive. Feel free to ask any questions before buying.
