Yamaha RX-V800 AV Receiver / 5.1 and Stereo

    Electronics & Appliances ·

    $100

First off, a heads up, this receiver is almost 25 years old. I purchased it new in 2000. But it is in fantastic condition! It’s been well cared for all these years and I still used it up until a few months ago. It sounds awesome and has lots of power to drive even very large speakers. Total maximum output is 140W per channel, RMS output is 100W per channel. The outside of the receiver looks brand new. Not a scratch on it. Inside, I recently opened it up and gave it a good dusting out with a blower, and cleaned up some of the electrical contacts. Everything is working perfectly, all buttons, the display, and the digital volume control. Even the remote looks like it has hardly been used. This is a 5.1 surround receiver and decodes Dolby Digital and Digital DTS. It can still be used as a home theatre receiver, but note that there are no HDMI inputs/outputs. You could however purchase a RCA/S-Video to HDMI adapter on Amazon and hook it up to your TV to see the on screen setup which would help in home theatre setups. It includes all the Digital Sound Processing (DSP) programs that Yamaha is known for (my personal favourite is Sci Fi). I was most recently running the receiver for music only (CD and phono) using a 2.1 setup (front channels and subwoofer) and didn’t need a TV to use it. The on unit front display provides more than enough information to run it as a stereo receiver, or even in a home theatre setup where you have all your devices (game consoles, streamers, blu-ray player, cable box, etc.) plugged into your TV and have the digital optical out from the TV connected to the receiver for surround sound. The original manual is included to help with set up. If you do a search on Google for Yamaha RX-V800 you’ll find lots of information on this receiver including all the technical specifications. You can even find the owners manual if you’d like to look at how to set it up and all the connections. This is a great receiver for budget audio, but can also fill a roll in an inexpensive home theatre setup. But don’t let that fool you, this is a very powerful piece of audio equipment… just a little older. Here’s everything included: Yamaha RX-V800 Natural Sound AV Receiver Yamaha Remote (with batteries!) Original Owner’s Manual AM Antenna FM Antenna S-Video cable
