Rare 19th-century Imperial Russian silver-plated tea glass holder (podstakannik) produced in St. Petersburg by famed manufacturer Alexander Katch (Александр Кач), dating to c. 1870s–1890s. Maker: Alexander Katch, St. Petersburg. Design: Classic Russian Revival motif featuring an engraved traditional Russian wooden Izba (log cabin) against a textured background. Handle: Period-correct scroll handle with a flat thumb-rest disc. Hallmarks: Underside stamped with the official crowned AK maker's mark alongside G.P and period silver-plating punches. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Heavy, solid construction with sharp detail and light natural silver patina. No dents, cracks, or repairs.
