Vintage Royal Portable Typewriter (Glossy Black, 1930s)

Authentic vintage 1930s Royal portable typewriter in classic glossy black finish with original round glass/metal-rimmed keys. Comes in its original carry case base. Cosmetically in great vintage shape with nice gloss and clear vintage decals/markings. Important Condition Note: The typewriter was functioning smoothly, but the carriage drawband cord recently snapped (pictured, resting across the segment). Because of this, the carriage currently does not advance automatically when typing or spacing. All keys strike freely and the mechanical body is solid, but it will need a simple replacement cord restrung to be fully functional. Ideal easy DIY repair project for a collector/enthusiast, or a striking display piece for a desk, bookshelf, or prop.
