In the 50s & 60s family vacations were often 'road trips'. As you drove across county in your station wagon with your whole family you saw the sites and picked up souvenirs along the way. Often they were road-side shops or booths and this is where you would have found this pottery. When you traveled in the southwest USA these are what was being offered by Native Indians. They called them 'swirl' pottery and went by the names of Painted Desert Pottery and Nemadji Pottery and Indian Clay Pottery. These vases are both 2.5 inch tall 3" wide at the bulge. Swirled on the outside to mimic the landscape and solid glossy green inside. No chips or cracks or damage of any kind. They have also never held soil so they are nice and clean inside. Thank you for looking at this item. I am selling it as I need to thin down my various collections which have grown huge over years of collecting. We are in White Rock - right by the Semiahmoo Mall.
