Up for auction is a beautiful piece of late 19th-century Victorian decorative glassware. This antique vase dates back to circa 1875–1895 and features a classic Bristol or Bohemian style.
This is a genuine "mouth-made," hand-blown piece. It features a semi-translucent, clambroth-style glass body treated with a soft satin finish. The interior is glossy, allowing you to see the reverse shadow of the artwork through the glass wall. The exterior is beautifully decorated with a hand-painted white background, gradient green bands around the neck and base, and a vibrant, raised enamel floral motif in shades of pink, orange, and red. The bottom is completely smooth with a polished pontil and features no maker's marks, which is typical for export glassware of this era.
