Ellis Island 1906 One Dollar Coin

Commemorative "Ellis Island Gateway to America" one dollar coin from 1906. It features the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on one side, and the iconic "Give me your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" poem on the other. A piece of history for collectors. I've had this coin appraised and this is what we found: ### Obverse (front) **Wear and Detail Integrity:** The main elements, including the Statue of Liberty and lettering, show minor wear. Most details are clear but lack sharpness. **Luster and Eye Appeal:** The coin has diminished luster, resulting in a subdued visual appeal. **Surface Condition:** Minor surface abrasions and discolorations are visible, indicating some circulation. ### Reverse (back) **Wear and Detail Integrity:** The torch and text exhibit slight wear. Most design elements remain distinct but not crisp. **Luster and Eye Appeal:** Similar to the obverse, the luster is minimal, affecting overall eye appeal. **Surface Condition:** There are small scratches and tone variations, common in circulated coins. ### Grading Analysis Results **Grade: XF-45** This grade reflects a coin with light overall wear, retaining full detail in major elements and some remaining luster, and showing above-average eye appeal.
